To My Dear Voters & Friends,

I'd like to take this opportunity to personally thank each and every one of you for your warm welcome and words of encouragement during my five County tour of Florida's 23rd District cities and towns.

During my grass roots on-foot campaigning within Broward, Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie and Hendry Counties, my staff estimates I've met and shaken the hands of over 200,000 smiling people, all of whom expressed a unified solidarity with my plans, hopes and dreams for improving the future quality of life for our residents and businesspersons.

I have heard, taken to heart and carefully noted your words of displeasure about the way things are in our communities, and the absence of a "Real People's Congressman" who you can speak with at any time or actually meet with in person, to ask for help. As you probably can tell from our one-on-one discussions, once I am elected and take office, I will be "The Congressman" who will always speak on your behalf so as to assist you in realizing positive change in your lives.

Please know your "Promised Votes" has supercharged my campaign to become your new Congressman, unlike incumbent Representative Alcee Hastings, who hardly ever shows his face around town, unless of course election time starts to approach.

When I become your new Congressman I WILL INVEST MANY MILLIONS OF FEDERAL DOLLARS,let me say that again, I will invest many millions of Federal dollars, into improving our cities & towns, and I'll begin the process of doing that during my first month in office.

I'd like everyone to know this is not your typical empty campaign promise, this isMy Pledge to You!

Although Alcee Hastings blew his 16 year chance to help us all,
"I, Ray Torres Sanchez will not sit idly by and watch our communities and families die a slow economic death."

Just look around us, look hard and long at where you and your neighbors are today as compared to 16 years ago and you'll quickly realize that yes, Hastings wasted 16 years of doing absolutely nothing to improve the financial status and quality of living for your family and our areas' business community.

From where I, Ray Torres Sanchez stands, it is highly unnacceptable and extremely troubling for me to continually read about"OUR 23rd District"being known nationally for having some of the poorest communities in Florida, a massive five county area that holds very few good paying jobs or job openings, no recreational facilities for the young and old, no affordable health care, inadequate housing for low & middle income families, under-funded civic organizations that assist people in need, poorly paid school teachers that are fleeing our area for better paying jobs in other states, not to fail mentioning increasing gang and street violence. When you top all of this off with the rising price of gasoline and food, it spells disaster for all of us as a community of people.

I will change all that for YOU,I will change all that for us as regular people,because that is what a real Congressman is supposed to do,and I will change it quickly when I walk into the Halls of Congress with "YOU" firmly resting in my heart and mind.

But this Election is not about former disgraced Judge Alcee Hastings' 16 years of failures, innattention and "do-nothing-politics",

This Election is all about YOU and what type of future your family and loved ones will face in the coming years.

As you all know, the August 26th Primary is mere days away, and NOW IS THE TIME FOR OUR RALLY TO KICK INTO GEAR.
