ENOUGH is ENOUGH!

It's time for Alcee Hastings to go once and for all.

Let's bring back Honesty, Professionalism, and respect to Capitol Hill

Ray Torres Sanchez, Democrat Candidate for Florida’s 23rd District Congressional Seat is a "People Person" who believes that the current representative’s many years of fancy pulpit speeches didn’t (and hasn’t yet) resulted in improved quality of life changes for you, your children and neighbors.

"I am a family man with three children and I, like all other parents, want and hope for a brighter, safer future for our kids", says Ray.  When asked why he decided to launch his Campaign for Congress in 08’ Ray quickly responded,

"As Mayor, I’ve visited many cities in our district over the years and have spoken to countless community leaders and residents who reached out to me asking pretty much the same thing in their own special way.  ‘Can you help us Ray? Can you do something to change our community for the better?’  We are worried about how unsafe our neighborhoods, streets and parks have become. Can you help us?’" Ray recounts.

There Is Growing Public Dissatisfaction With Our Current Representation

With growing public discontent with lack of progress toward addressing important issues such as rising poverty, high unemployment, increased violent crime, a poor job market, lack of educational and recreational opportunities for the youth of our district, Ray easily explains why we are experiencing a unnecessary and worsening down-turn in our district’s neighborhood and economic vitality, an eroding away of our cities and towns which Ray believes "must be stopped in its tracks, and stopped now!".

A Closer Look At The Facts
"Let’s examine just the facts without slinging any mud", Ray states.

"My incumbent opponent does give impressive speeches that convince listeners he’s doing (or intends to do) something for them.  People have fallen for his slick public relations skills ‘hook line n’ sinker’, but if a responsible voter in 08’ were to take a closer look at our district’s poverty, violent crime rate and rising high unemployment, they’d start wondering if our past tax-dollars have done nothing more than fund a ‘Congressional Lifestyle of the Rich and Famous’ for a fast-talking flashy representative who doesn’t deliver the goods to the people." Ray states.

Ray continued, "After hearing the pleas from my friends and neighbors for me to run for office to help change things for the better, I said to myself, ‘I am going to become the next Congressional Representative who will actually do something for the people, something substantial for our people to see and feel for the first time in their lives."

"It is time for Alcee Hastings to step aside".

"One Voice For All People" - Making Your Interests My #1 Priority
Focusing in on the unmet needs of the poor, the elderly and single parents within our 23rd District neighborhoods, Ray went on to say, "To me and those who’ve asked me for help, we’ve all had way too many years of my opponent’s empty promises.  I say ‘talk is cheap’, so when I get elected to Congress I am going to immediately show our people what they’ve been missing out on during the past 15 years."

Ray further comments, "My opponent, in my view, is an "It’s all about me" kind of congressman who has given us nothing more than scandal, wasted years of hope, wasted years of waiting for him to initiate positive change, while he and his female assistant extensively traveled the world to give speeches to other foreign bureaucrats, who in reality, could care less about how you and your neighbors are struggling here in Florida".

"I intend to put an end to this type of self-serving representation by winning the 2008 Election", Ray proclaims.

Ray’s Well Thought Out Plan For Positive Change
Clearly focusing on his supporter’s growing dissatisfaction with the incumbent representative’s lack of an identifiable track record that touches people, Ray continues, "I’m an action person and once I’m elected to Congress they’ll most certainly be more funding for the construction of many recreational and educational facilities for our kids.  Our Sheriffs and Police Chiefs will no longer have to beg their local county and city commissioners for increases in financial support needed to make you and me safer, and; once I’m elected I’ll cut through the red tape of the grant awarding process quicker than you can blink an eye".

Accenting the importance of the rest of Ray’s plan for positive change, Ray went on to say, "I’ll award local business grants to small "Mom and Pop" businesses and quickly take steps to attract more quality employers to our area so everyone will have access to jobs that pay more than just minimum wage".

Our School Teachers - Overworked and Underpaid

"School teachers will find me to be their strongest of advocates for increases to their low wages, and; I will move to have our School Boards create a teacher evaluation program that is unified, acceptable to teacher unions and fair to our new teachers just out of college.  We must stop losing our wonderful, talented teachers to other nearby states, states who express appreciation for their teachers by providing them higher pay rates and assistance in paying off their student loans thereby allowing them to live reasonable, more enjoyable lives.", Ray concludes.

Search Out The Truth, Then Join Ray’s Campaign For Success in 08’
Ray asks you to,

"Please become active in your community by going out into your cities and towns. Take the time to drive through the poorest sections, read your local newspapers about rising crime, gang violence and lack of jobs. Speak to your neighbors and ask them what my opponent has done for any of you.

Ask yourselves "What have you gotten in return?" for years of seeing your hard earned tax dollars provide my opponent with a flamboyant life-style that you, and most everyone you or I know, will never experience in this lifetime.

Try to find just one or two major recreational or new educational facilities for kids within your city or town that was constructed with funding under the control of my opponent.  Wonder to yourself why local businesses, cities and counties within our district are now considering laying-off large groups of workers".
